Mike Clancy, Chief Executive

Mike was appointed CEO of Walgrove in October 2009 after completing an MBO of the business. Prior to joining Walgrove Mike was Head of the Private Equity team at Directorbank Executive Search. Directorbank specialises in board level recruitment for both private and listed companies including executive and non-executive roles. At Directorbank Mike was a member of the management team that exited the business following the conclusion of a secondary MBO of the business in 2006. The transaction delivered significant returns for the institutional shareholders and founders of the business. Prior to Directorbank Mike worked as an investment executive at Springboard Plc, a venture capital business which funded MBI candidates in their search phase and also invested up to £1m in start up ventures. Before business school Mike worked as a Property Manager for Grand Metropolitan Plc. Mike holds an MBA from London Business School and an MA in Economics & Economic History from the University of Edinburgh.
 
David Drury, Director

David's experience in executive search spans 15 years. David has delivered senior level search assignments both as an in-house recruitment consultant as well as an external executive search provider. For the last 8 years David has delivered assignments primarily in the management consulting sector with particular emphasis within pharmaceuticals (P&R, commercial effectiveness, supply chain),  financial services (risk & regulatory compliance) and technology industries. These assignments are typically at Director or Partner/VP/Lead levels and span the USA, Europe and the Middle East. In addition to consulting clients, David has delivered senior level assignments for life sciences companies and Fortune 500 technology and manufacturing companies.
