Our client is a Government-centric IT services and consulting firm and Walgrove was mandated to find and attract a Head of Criminal Justice for the UK - reporting to the Global Head of Public Sector. Market conditions at the time of the assignment meant that there was a significant war for talent taking place amongst the consulting population. Criminal Justice was the biggest area of growth within Government and therefore the opportunity for consulting work in this largely untapped market was significant.

The successful candidate was a deep domain expert from a renowned criminal justice software services firm who was appointed on a healthy six figure basic salary and package. As a result of the highly successful impact this individual has had on the business, our client has recently been shortlisted for a major government initiative in response to an increase in threat to national security. This piece of work alone will be worth several million pounds. Also, the appointee has doubled divisional revenues from £4m to >£8m and is on course to triple the size of the criminal justice business within our client organisation.
